ppint. 4th Nov 2023		ace books mmpb first printing, first edition half a classic ''ace double'' format mmpb with two front covers, contents tête-beché to each other cover art by jeff jones (signed, credited) b+w frontispiece by jack gaughan (signed with his digraph) ½ 256pp. including 2 x titles, indicia etc, advertising pp. in-between the double's halves number-string on spine, 020-08077 (-060) is likely the book's abn; the 020- publisher prefix and the checksum digit-less abn system item number are wholly incompatible with the sbn, later developed into the isbn book numbering system. month of publication not given, taken from the second ace double printing's publishing history
