ppint. 26th Jan 2022		dell books mmpb first printing, first edition cover art ©1974 20th century-fox, central piece looks to be from press/pr material, plus typography cover price $1.25 144pp. including titles, indica etc, plus eight unpaginated pp. of twelve photographs based on the original screenplay by brian de palma of the eponymous amazingly good ott bad film, based somewhat loosely - not to say, ''fast and loosely'' - and with tongue not a little in cheek - in turn upon ''le fantôme de l'opéra'' (1910) (english translation ''the phantom of the opera'' (1911)) by gaston leroux - - and anyone who enjoys these is liable to appreciate terry pratchett's discworld novel, ''maskerade'' (1995) q.v. greatly, too...
