near-identical 8th printing 1965:
refer to indicia to see which printing is held.

some copies bear no price printed on front cover, 85¢ on sticky label on front or rear cover, presumédly part of print-run finished particularly for export to far east, australia and new zealand

 hi, mickey rat: pan books managed at least twenty-two printings of this, under at least four different cover artists' work - and that's not counting any export printings produced as run-ons or partial bind-ups of the fifties and sixties print-runs without the uk price on the front covers. . . enough to daunt this ppint.

i'm fairly sure ''bookcat'' doesn't really need twenty-two separate entries for the pan books 'ootsp', and'd suggest noting minor variations such as price changes in the comments for multiply-reprinted paperbacks - reserving 'new item'-dom for changes in the cover art, changes to a new cat#, introduction of an sbn, or isbn. . .

 Hi ppint. I'm sure you're right. I know nothing about Pan editions. Verso of title page indicates it's the 13th printing of the 1952 edition, printed in 1971. I probably should have entered 1971 as pub. date. Just noticed too that it has an ISBN number: 0330021729. I'll put in a make correction note for mods.

 the image shown is wrong: it is not of the decade stated, nor cat# 213: it is probably of the 1968 & immediately following editions/printings, cat# 02172, cover price 5/- and should be moved thither.

the first three pan books printings, 1952, 1955, 1956, bore art by george woodman, as well as cat# 213 and cover price 2/-.
