(this mayn't be the original price°) 276pp. (check) including titles, indicia etc, end pp, bound with endpapers between cloth-covered boards ° - victor gollancz ran what was in effect a separate junior library-aimed sf line of titles often merkin-published as category sf, or as general fiction line, as adult fiction; but they also picked up uk & british commonwealth (usually excluding canada) volume rights to titles published as children's books for this. exceptionally for victor gollancz science fiction h/cvrs throughout this period, the books they published for this bore illustrated restricted-palette dust-jackets, usually single-colour (and black) on white paper.
