 avon books mmpb near-identical first printing(s), stated third printing°, not first mmpb edition

cover art by don ivan punchatz (signed with his initials ''dip'' allowing for the painting's being used in mirror image, uncredited)
cover price 60¢
indicia publishing history misleadingly lists first printing, september, 1967°
160pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising

refer to indicia to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed.
no priority established nor liable to be, both stating third printing, april 1970

(° absence of an avon books second printing as well as first printing suggests there may've been, or may've been presumed by avon books to've been, a similar split of printings of the banner books edition carcasses.)

 somewhat confusingly, indicia accounts the banner books first edition as the first avon printing.
both being owned by the hearst corporation, this may be an indication that avon "inherited" the merkin licence to the rights, and didn't pay bob an advance against royalties to publish this edition.
