The author is a songwriter and lyricist who lives in Milan. Just two rules: he must travel alone, and every trip must finish in Liverpool (that became a second home to him).

It may not be a treatise of sociology or a Beatles’ biography, but this book must be taken for what it really is: a funny tale about 6 summers of travel to every corner of the UK, with the author trying to understand the true essence of the British myth, trying to make his own but without aping it. The author takes the reader along with him in in his adventures: page after page you will be by his side while he scarily visits a dark back-street, or walks 14 miles at night in the pouring rain with no street lamps. Who wants to visit the poorly-lit Birmingham neighbourhoods, or the deserted docks in Liverpool? Are you ready to see the biggest Train Museum in Europe (with tens of real trains) or to make a jump at the craziest ever birthday party of a perfectly unknown girl? And then the firemen arrived!
