My Friend Jack SUBS 3rd Dec 2015		Update... the new Pop Memories covers the period from 1900 to 1940. 1940 is when Billboard started publishing their weekly charts, so all the data in the new book has been created after the fact. I had an email from Record Research yesterday to confirm that advance orders have been shipped (although Santa will be intercepting my copy).

George Slv 27th Nov 2015		Notice on page 125 songs like Are You Lonesome Tonight by Vaughn DeLeath from 1927, and I've Told Ev'ry Little Star from 1933 by Jack Denny. This book had a couple of printings and that's it.

My Friend Jack SUBS 31st Dec 2015		Can I ask for clarification as to why this is classed as an Anthology rather than a Hardback (which is what I entered)? Whilst I can see that it could be classed as an anthology of data, it is most definitely a hardback book and I'm struggling to understand why these two possible options are mutually exclusive. If you are familiar with books published by Record Research in the last decade or so, so will know that they set the standard that no other series of chart books anywhere in the world can match. I've mentioned in the Notes section what the book covers but as well as the list of hit records, there is also a comprehensive list of the publications used to compile the charts themselves as well as a music history chronology, summarising the key developments in American popular music prior to and during the period covered. ...And of course, there is a list of all the #1 records and the 100 biggest hits. ...And an alphabetical list of all the hits.
