ppint. ● 6th Nov 2023		''she and allan'' (1921) is the prequel to both ''she'' (1886) and ''king solomon's mines'' (1885); n.b. she/ayesha does not appear in all allan quartermain stories, and allan quartemain does not appear in all she/ayesha stories. it also finds a place in a third, shorter, series that can also be followed, the four stories of zikali, the dwarf wizard, and this witch-doctor's plot and campaign to overthrow the royal house of senzanggakona founded by shaka, and ending with cetewayo (cetshwayo kampande): ''marie'' (1912), ''child of storm'' (1913), ''she and allan'', and ''finished'' (1917). unlike the other three in this tetralogy, its events do not take place in zululand, so some people do not include it as belonging in the trilogy.
