(check it!) including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising imprint is magnum; launched as an imprint of methuen (eyre-methuen, a.b.p.), became an imprint of methuen paperbacks ltd., which was later reabsorbed back into methuen books ltd. reprinted 1986 from same typesetting bearing new isbn as a methuen p/b, further differs: cover art by peter elson cover price £2.50 (a.b.p. ltd. - associated british publishers ltd. - later received a totally unsolicited bid for the entire book-publishing mini-conglomerate: though this was rejected, the (still quite largely extended family-owned) group owners decided in the light of how much had been bid for their group of publishers blind, to put abp up for sale. . . end of methuen books hardcover and paperbacks line, including what had once been "my" sf & fantasy list, and which i was still/again involved with, advising the editorial director fiction upon through into its mandarin incarnation - for a while.) (it didn't last a lot longer after she was effectively sidelined by the new owners - the octopus publishing group - and yr hmbl srppnt. ceased to be involved.) ppint. 23rd Dec 2017		mayflower books first printing, first uk edition cover art by ralph brillhart (signed "brillhart") cover price 3/6 160pp. including titles, indica etc. published as a mayflower(-dell) paperback 1964. after being set up by dell books, publisher mayflower books went through various ownerships before being subsumed into granada publishing, who in turn were bought by wm. collins & sons, renamed grafton, saw a brief reappearance as part of that group, and disappeared into the maw of murdoch's harpercollinspublishers (oneword). . . some trace lasted into "voyager" in the use of isbns prefixed 0583-.
