ppint. 11th Jan 2018		thomson books ltd. sphere books imprint first printing, first uk edition cover art by george barr from the dell books mmpb 1978 first edition cover price £1.25, australia $4.25 (recommended), eire £1.37½, malta £1.25c so should be re-flagged "international" according to respected moderator's rule - or not so re-flagged, according to equally well-respected moderator's heartfelt plea 320pp. including titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising based upon these earlier-published stories: "with the bentfin boomer boys on little old new alabama" (harlan ellison, "again, dangerous visions" 1972) "sail the tide of mourning" (robert silverberg, "new dimensions 5" 1975) "after the dreamtime" (robert silverberg, "new dimensions IV" 1974) "the bentfin boomer girl comes thru" (ted white, "amazing stories" 3/1977) "our own little mardi gras" ("heavy metal" 10/1977) considerably enlarged and rewritten (except for that last, which forms chapter ten of this loathesome novel). pp.



ppint. 1st Dec 2017		Rated 8/10 a worthy companion to adolf hitler's hugo award-winning novel, "lord of the swastika", q.v. - - and one which some appropriate authorities° rate even more highly°°. ° - extreme right-wing, xenophobic, sexist, racist and generally hate-filled, mostly. . . °° - for inventiveness in the reproduction of the nonstandard forms of english employed by the protagonists, and for general literacy, for the most part; else, see above° - if you're in precisely the right (? wrong ?) mood, very funny indeed - especially in measured doses... 1 person found this review helpful. ✔︎ Helpful Review?
