(the apprentice adept series part two:) aka the phaze and proton tetralogy: (1#4) 2#1: ''out of phaze'' (1987), q.v. (1#5) 2#2: ''robot adept'' (1988), q.v. (1#6) 2#3: ''unicorn point'' (1989), q.v. (1#7) 2#4: ''phaze doubt'' (1990), q.v. the division into two parts is largely - though not entirely - a construct arising from the change in publishers after 1#3; there would be an arguable case for regarding the two as one heptology. different extended episodes in the over-all story occur in an apparently fantasy setting, with creatures of fantasy, but the over-all story occurs in a science fictional planetary system.
