ppint. 11th Dec 2019		cover art by (frank) kelly freas (credited, art is signed with his encircled monogram) cover price 50¢ 160pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising number-string on spine, 020-07756, is probapossibly an abn (american book number) 8/1978 second ace books edition has been re-set, bears new cover art by vincent difate (credited) (typography of title on front cover suggests re-titling of "starwell", but title page is correct) isbn 0-441-78405-4 cat# 78405-4 cover price $1.75 224pp? including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising

ppint. 20th Nov 2017		anthony villiers #1: #1: "star well" (1968) (this book) #2: "the thurb revolution" (1968), q.v. #3: "masque world" (1969), q.v. omnibus edition of #1, #2 & #3: ebook only, so far (kindle, mobi & epub formats known to exist; isbns issued): #O: ''new celebrations: the adventures of anthony villiers'' (2002), q.v. not a trilogy in the sense of telling one structured story overall, but a series of novels of manners and style, with some very nicely-observed characters, including the trog, torve. it'd be great, were the trailed fourth, "the universal pantograph", ever to be published - presumably in an omnibus of all four now - maybe illustrated by a sympathetic (and alien?) b+w artist - alexei ? .edit: alexei alas died 21st august 2022, so this has become much less likely, and perhaps impossible.
