Volume 3 of a 3-volume edition of the works of the philosopher Lucius Annaeus Seneca (ca. 4 BCE - 65 CE): L. Annaei Senecae Opera Omnia; item M. Annaei quae extant, Tribus Tomis distincta. Tomus Primus continens Opuscula Moralia - Tomus Secundus, in quo Epistolae, et Quaestiones Naturales. Suasoriae, ac Controversiae, cum Declamationum excerptis. Tomus Tertius.

This third volume (Tomus Tertius) includes the surviving work of the philosopher's father, Lucius Annaeus Seneca Maior a.k.a. Seneca the Elder or Seneca Rhetor (ca. 55 BCE - ca. 39 CE), here called Marcus Annaeus Seneca Rhetor (with an incorrect praenomen). Seneca Rhetor's Suasoriae ac Controversiae are a collection of declamationes or rhetorical practice speeches (see http://rhetoric.byu.edu/Pedagogy/Declamation.htm).
