ppint. 23rd Mar 2023		cover art by don maitz: unsigned, uncredited, but re-used from ''flashing swords #4: barbarians and black magicians'' ed. lin carter (dell 11/1977; so the trojan publications p/b must be later), where it is signed, and the art is re-used in the ''don maitz fantasy art trading card set'' entitled ''warrior wizard'' (friedlander 1994).



ppint. 4th Mar 2019		trojan books p/b first printing, first uk edition (not first p/b, which was the leisure books mmpb) publication year of this edition was apparently taken from amazon; no other date source is known. no other printing/publication dates known for any trojan imprint uk p/b, so all may be 1977, 1978, or... - given it's re-used from an 11/1977 dell mmpb, it's overwhelmingly probable this p/b is 1978 or later.
