ppint. 25th Apr 2018		fiction, historical/history, western "a buffalo hunter, a savage mexican gunslinger, a border-town girl, and the marvelous horse they called "the appaloosa" in a thundering saga of the old southwest" - front cover title-encompassing blurb (n.b. leaves "marvelous" uncorrected) i understand that this novel was later filmed, with some success.
