ppint. ● 6th Aug 2020		preceded by 11/1979 new english library uk p/b which includes four unnumbered pp. colour photographs mid-book. one of three (four ?) apparently simultaneous 12/1979 printings, two bearing only the canadian $2.50 cover price (as opposed to the wholly merkin-printed printings which bear the merkin $1.95), so presumably intended for distribution north of the parallel, one stating manufactured in the united states of america, t'other printed in canada. distinguish also by reference to indica printing history covers of all three (four ?) prob'ly merkin-printed, but reporting is a bit patchy, and tends to be confused by ballantine's using "book printed in canada" to indicate "book carcass printed in canada", and this being taken to refer inclusively to the printing of the card covers. near-identical 1/1980 1st and also 2nd special edition printings (yes, they bear the same date) cat# 29053 cover price $1.95 i do not know what made these special editions: did they add a photograph section?
