ppint. 5th Apr 2021		the song of earth #1: #1: "the celestial steam locomotive" (1983), q.v. #2: "gods of the greataway" (1984), q.v. clearly in the same world, but not the same story - or song?: 2#1: "fang, the gnome" (1988), q.v. 2#2: "king of the scepter'd isle" (1989), q.v. and "cat karina" (1982), q.v. definitely seems connected: perhaps a prequel; but i could be mistaken; i read ''cat karina'' and, having enjoyed this, started ''the celestial steam locomotive'' under the impression that it was the sequel, as advertised by the publisher and - there being no continuity evident - was somewhat confused...
