ppint. 18th Apr 2024		uk p/b of extremely dubious legality produced as a run-on or slight variant bind-up of the 1975 leisure books mmpb edition. both drop the hyphen from the title on the front cover.



ppint. 19th Feb 2021		unknown publisher's flamingo books imprint first printing of sorts, first uk p/b of sorts° variant covers on the nordon publications leisure books mmpb first printing carcass cover art by o'brien (signed; not sfaik as-yet further identified) (re-used from belmont tower mmpb of ''the new tomorrows'' ed. norman spinrad (1973), q.v.) cover price 30p 256pp. (check) including titles, indicia (of merkin mmpb) etc, end pp. advertising the isbn given in the indicia is that of the doubleday merkin h/cvr edition the apparent isbn, 0•8439•00237 given on the spine is the fake isbn retained from the leisure books mmpb spine, created by interpolating two zeros between the publisher code and the numerical part of the leisure books mmpb cat#, 237ZK this uk edition was almost certainly criminally illegal as well as unlicenced by brian aldiss or his agent
