| ppint. 17th Dec 2018 | the first novarian novel by internal chronology as well as publication date. it is followed by the reluctant king trilogy, featuring king jorian: #1: "the goblin tower" (1968), q.v. for links to editions of the three novels. #2: "the clocks of iraz" (1971), q.v. #3: "the unbeheaded king" (1983), q.v. the last published novarian novel follows jorian's younger brother, kerin: "the honorable barbarian" (1989), q.v. "the emperor's fan" (novelette) "john w. campbell memorial anthology" ed. harry harrison (1973), q.v. is a novarian world story set earlier than the reluctant king trilogy, in a chinese-korean-japanese-ish empire.. a final novarian novel, "the sedulous sprite", was completed by de camp but judged not to be of publishable quality when found after his death. | |
