Book
Notes Authored (more correctly, edited) by Jo & Tim Rice, Paul Gambaccini and Mike Read. This is basically an abridged version of the Guinness Book of British Hit Singles, but only looking at the chart hits of the 1970s. So, for example, in the facts & feats section, Abba have the most number 1s of any act (seven), and the record with the longest stay at the top belongs jointly to Bohemian Rhapsody, Mull of Kintyre and You're the One That I Want (nine weeks each). Elvis is the only artist to feature on the charts in every calendar year, 1970 to 1979.
