#1: "the ginger star" (1974), q.v. for trilogy listing and links

near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers, and hence also cat#,

cover art by james/jim steranko (signed "steranko")
cover price $1.25
192pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising

refer to indica to see if the carcass ("book") of the copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed.
no priority established nor liable to be, both bear first printing: october, 1974
check also for a line stating second printing: june 1976 (cover price $1.50)

1/1980 thrid printing retains cover art, sees del rey logo added to cover, cover design modified, isbn of 0-345-28594-8 adopted, cat# 28594, cover price $1.95

10/1984 fourth printing retains cover art°, isbn 0-345-31828-5, cat# 31828, changes major cover typography of author's name to bright red, shadowed, cover price $2.50
° - but for no known reason now somewhat bizarrely credits it to boris vallejo. . .
