 The pictures in this book are from albums of file prints kept by Pacific Electric for reference to negatives, (which explains the numbers which appear at the lower edge).
The views on pages 6, 7 and 8 date from 1902 while the balance are from the 1920s.
Most of the photographs appeared in the "Pacific Electric Magazine", which was published from 1916 until the company withdrew from the passenger business in 1952. Others were kept for other purposes. The prints from which this book was printed are the originals, and in some instances the ravages of time have marred their appearance. Photos, map, more.
