ppint. 8th Sep 2022		the author's name is given as brian m. thomsen on the title page, which is his usual by-line and should^W has been corrected to this. brian m. (michael) thomsen became editor of tsr/wizards of the coast's fiction line 1992 through 1997, adopting or following directed policies to reduce costs that proved somewhat controversial, especially with established authors, after having successfully set up and run the warner books warner paperback & popular library ''questar'' sf & fantasy imprint c.1985-1991. fired by wizards of the coast after they took over the near-bankrupt or bankrupt tsr, inc., brian m. thomsen became a consulting editor (i believe his title was) for tor books, through his death in 2008.
