ppint. 11th Feb 2025		despite the front cover puff-line, "the classical medical space adventure - first time in one volume!" 's implication - this reprint collection does not contain murray leinster's entire med service series. omitted are: the grandfathers' war (novella) 1957 tallien three (novella) as "the hate disease" 1963 med ship man (novelette) 1963 these three stories comprise pyramid books (later jove) mmpb, "doctor to the stars" (1964 & ff.), q.v.

ppint. 11th Feb 2025		the berkley publishing group (check°) charter communications ace mmpb first printing, first edition reprint collection of four med service novellas and one novelette cover art by james warhola (signed, credited) cover price $2.95 388pp? (check) including unnumbered titles, indicia etc, end pp. advertising ° - the berkley publishing group bought all or most of grosset & dunlap's book publishing interests in 1982 (and this mmpb bears the sharp-pointed upper-case "A" logo with four-pointed star as cross-bar used from 2/1980), but i don't know the month the purchase took full effect.
