ppint. 1st Jan 2018		though planned, there was no second omnibus°; i believe diane pearson was promoted out of any day-to-day or month-to-month responsibility, control input concerning or even oversight of transworld publishers' corgi & bantam uk science fiction & fantasy list, in which she'd taken considerable constructive interest as senior editor°° - not least, signing terry pratchett - which under the new regime simultaneously faded greatly and was deliberately redirected to concentrate on just a few new authors, seen as more generally commercial and their newest titles, under the misapprehension that both terry and anne mccaffreyhad been added to the list by "cherry picking" already-established best-sellers. . . ° - it was announced as forthcoming, and variously as "the zenna henderson collection", and "the zenna henderson omnibus 2" , and was to contain all of the stories in the two collections, "the anything box" & "holding wonder", plus three previously uncollected stories: "thrumthing and out", "the first stroke", and "there was a garden" (f&sf vol.43 #4, 10/1972; vol.53 #4, 10/1977; original anthology "cassandra rising" ed. alice laurance (1978), q.v.) °° - she was also a not inconsiderable author in her own right
