An abridgement of The Blythes are Quoted, Montgomery's 9th and final book in the Anne of Green Gables series which had been submitted for publication on the day of her death in 1942 but rejected due to its anti-war tone and not published in any form until 1974. The Road to Yesterday omits poetry and other texts from the original; the full version of the original book, with its original title, would not be published until 2009. 254 pages.
