ppint. 14th Apr 2018		fiction, historical/history, western, were "bookcat" to accept "western" as the major publishing category it certainly has been. the wdl - later consul - books' w.g. prefix (see notes on end pp. adverts) seems to've stood for "war giant", & w. for "war" (possibly non-fiction?); yr hmbl srppnt.'s no guess as yet for "v.s.". . .
