ppint. 6th Feb 2022		''eos'' (the goddess of the dawn) was begun as the sf & f imprint of the hearst corporation's avon books; when the hearst corporation got out of the business, that truly fine merkin citizen, rupert ''the dirty digger'' murdoch's harpercollinspublishers bought hearst's book publishing operation outright - including avon, equinox (if this still existed), bard, camelot, discus, etc, etc; and arbor house, and donald fine, and every other imprint of which yr hmbl srppnt. is aware. different bits and pieces started getting amalgamated into one another in sometimes ''interesting'' ways - hence ''harpercollinspublishers eos'' imprint publishing both h/cvrs and mmpbs - then some bits started getting re-amalgamated into different bits of the empire - and then all(?) english language bits publishing sf & fantasy got re-organdised into one, theoretically uniformly-amalgamated voyager imprint. which may or may not be harpercollinspublishers' voyager imprint, harpercollins' voyager imprint - or almost any variation you may or may not care to dream of... - ''publishers!''° (° - decorate with adjectives and/or adverbs to your heart's content.)
