ppint. 30th Dec 2018		simultaneous near-identical printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence also cover art (uncredited, unsigned, so far unattributed sfaiaa) cover price 75¢ 208pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising refer to indica to see if carcass of copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed. no priority established nor liable to be, both bear line stating "third printing, january 1973" (avon books ignoring the avon digest format magazine edition in the mmpb printing history) (this comment is from another edition of this book)



ppint. 30th Dec 2018		fourth avon p/b edition, first in standard mmp/b format. cover art by douglas rosa (uncredited, attributed in "fantasy of the 20th century: an illustrated history" randy broecker (2001), q.v. cover price 60¢ 208pp? including titles, indica etc. there is probably a near-identical simultaneous canadadian-carcassed printing sharing the merkin-printed covers, cat#, cover art & price, as this was avon books' then habit, and they accounted their two 1973 printings the third printing (the digest format magazine and/or p/b printings being ignored); but i've not seen one, nor report of a copy of such.
