ppint. 6th Dec 2017		75,000 word novel version, with changes made (legally) by universal's editor not seen by leiber prior to publication, including the addition of sexy chapter titles and of material to sex scenes. text corrected and updated by fritz leiber - but the ''sexy'' chapter titles retained (and the language of the added sex scenes updated by fritz leiber) - for pocket books' 10/1980 edition. this text edition reprinted in 12/1980 in "permanent" library hardcover edition on acid-free paper by gregg press.
