ppint. 18th Apr 2018		elric series #4; lancer books' edition has changes including cuts not authorised and not approved by moorcock. near-identical editions/printings sharing merkin-printed covers and hence also cat#, cover price and cover art by charles moll (signed with his habitual "cm") cover price 95¢ 192pp inclusive refer to indica to see whether carcass of copy held was merkin- or canadadian- printed. no priority established nor liable to be. #1: "elric of melniboné" (1972), q.v. for series listing and links



David Whiteley 6th Nov 2020		Added back covers of 1973,1974 and 1975 printings. The front covers are identical. The only difference is the change in price on the back cover and the reprint dates changing on the copyright page. (this comment is from another edition of this book)

ppint. 13th Nov 2017		number in isbn10 field is the sbn9 on back cover, which incorporates the cat# on the spine; but n.b. a different sbn9 is given in the indica: 450009971. i don't know whether anyone now remembers why this additional sbn occurs on more than one nel p/b from around this time. . .
