ppint. 7th Oct 2020		first compact books uk p/b printing, first edition aka ''the blood-red game'' (1970 & ff.), q.v. cover art unsigned, uncredited; sfaik as-yet unattributed cover price 3/6 192pp. including titles, indica etc, end pp. advertising (the blue t(tipee)p & white price sticker on front cover image bears the limming logo of the newsagents wholesaler, thorpe & porter ltd. of leicester, who were one of the major distributors of sf p/bs in the uk for decades, and publisher-distributors of many ''bre'' (british reprint editions) of sf, fantasy &c. magazines either under their strato imprint, or later under the main thorpe & porter name, as well as importer-distributors of many merkin sf & fantasy mmpbs and, after their various licences determined, of the merkin original editions of sf & fantasy magazines.)
