ppint. 8th May 2021		pseudonym of roger andrew caras, 24/5/1928 - 18/2/2001 author under his real name of some seventy-odd books on wild animals and on the environment etc. fourteenth president of the aspca (merkin animal cruelty charity), activist, introduced a neutering/ spaying service widely copied photographer, especially of wildlife worked with arthur c. clarke and stanley kubrick on 2001: a space odyssey vice-president of stanley kubrick's film company, hawk films 1965-1969 merkin t.v. broadcaster especially for nbc, abc; popular kennel club programmes on pedigree and pet dogs as well as animal life more generally, travelling reporter on biology, zoology & naturalism and the black market exploiting and funding the poaching of ''exotic'' and endangered species around the world
