ppint. 10th Aug 2020		near-identical first jove books mmpb edition/printings sharing merkin-printed covers, cat# cover art by jim steranko (in a rather un-steranko and very 40s-50s sensationalist style, but to modern printing standards°) interior b+w illustrations by edd cartier from unknown/unknown worlds magazine cover price $1.75 192pp. including titles, indica, foreword by asimov, introduction by bensen etc, end pp. advertising refer to publishing history - where these are both accounted the first jove / hbj edition published august 1978 and implicitly the third printing, as it is stated immediately above there were two previous printings - to see if the carcass of the copy held was canadadian- or merkin- printed no priority established between the jove books printings, nor liable to be ° - the cover art of the 10/1978 jove books mmpb printing companion anthology, "the unknown five" is signed "rowena" the cover and rowena morrill'd be a much better fit for this art, by its & her style (this comment is from another edition of this book)
