ppint. 18th Apr 2023		random penguin doubleday imprint h/cvr first printing, first edition 2016 distinguish from reprintings by the indicia publishing history printing number 001 sort of retrospective dedication by terry to his earlier self: and so the journey begins, young terry. who knows where it will take you? enjoy the ride! cover (d-j) art by mark beech (unsigned, credited on d-j back flap) interior b+w illustrations also by mark beech (unsigned, credited) cover (d-j) price £12.99, $22.99 canada 336pp. including 12pp. (one numbered ix) titles, indicia, table-of-contents, nf introduction by terry pratchett, etc., 6 end pp. advertising ''dragons at crumbling castle and other stories'' including 5pp. extract; perfectbound onto flexible backing strip with purple endpapers between light blue plasticy(?)-finished -paper(?)-covered boards, art on both front, back & on spine by mark beech; author, title & publisher on spine in respectively, black, white and yellow, and white somewhat oddly, perhaps, the smaller second element of the bar-code & number, 62299, encodes the canadian cover price in cents rather than the uk cover price in pence. i've no idea of the reason for this.
