ppint. 15th Mar 2018		date is incorrect, as magnum books editions are all c.1975 editions of earlier lancer books titles from/just after the bankruptcy of lancer books. (lancer books' previous "easy eye" series/line used the lancer imprint (iirc, there were also lancer focus easy eye, and possibly lancer magnum easy eye sub-lines/series: the main distinguishing characteristics of the easy eye line or lines were that the book carcass text typeface was larger (i.e. of higher point size), and that the paper they were printed on was often of a (very, very light) green tint (or tinge). sfaicr these were all published by lancer books, as opposed to magnum books° / prestige books inc.°°) (°,°° - whose books were almost universally agreed to be legally totally unconnected with the previous lancer books inc. despite being printed from the lancer books plates, re-used the lancer books cat#s, mostly re-used the lancer books cover art and were frequently almost identical as to design, save for replacing the "lancer books" logo and name with "magnum books" logo and name, or other, and whose indica rarely if ever credited any date other than that of the earlier lancer books edition, or even earlier copyright date.) (°° - some/many later prestige books editions specified they were distributed by ace books and bore ace books 0-441-nnnnnn isbns; some of these°°° were eventually absorbed into the ace books catalogue completely.) (°°° - especially the conan titles)
