(including the dragon books imprint(s)) was founded by gordon landsborough after he founded and later sold armada books to william collins & sons (after he founded and then later sold four square books and ace books (the uk publisher) to new american !library, inc.)(and prob'ly founded and then later sold other uk publishers). one of the unsung greats in establishing particularly paperback publishing in the uk of great britain. atlantic book publishing co. ltd. was later sold to the granada group, who folded it into mayflower books ltd., which it by then owned, and with it, its dragons of various hues
