Tommy Hanley was one of the great music photographers of our time. During the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80’s, Tommy captured some of the most unforgettable images of the biggest names in pop, rock and jazz.

Many years in the making, With A Little Help From My Lens is the long-awaited story of Tommy’s remarkable close relationship with the world’s most famous band, The Beatles.

The book chronicles his time with the ‘Fab Four’, from when he first met and photographed them in 1963, through to the end of the decade when Tommy found himself at the epi-centre of the eccentricity that was the Apple empire. Finally, he shares his experiences in the 1980s when he was appointed as an archivist by Apple Corps to assist in tracking down photographs and memorabilia for the Anthology project.

Illustrated with rare and previously unpublished photographs, With A Little Help From My Lens is a fascinating and personal account of Tommy’s work and friendship with The Beatles.

This book will be available as a special collector’s edition, strictly limited to just 1,000 numbered copies.

JPGR&B SUBS 23rd Aug 2022		Reported on the Tommy Hanley Facebook page on 22 August 2022: Tommy Hanley's long-awaited book With a Little Help From my Lens has passed all the quality tests at the printers and is looking fab! We will have a new website with all the info about it launched shortly but here's a teaser photo of this handsome book! It will be ready to order in September. The book is limited to 1,000 copies and has just had the seal of approval from Beatles guru, Mark Lewisohn, who has written the foreword. Note by JPGR&B - the teaser photo shows a book with a blue cover and what appears to be a red slip case. I have separated both from the orinial teaser photo, as shown above.
