Hi, dear reader. These short stories and bits of flash fiction were all written in 2016. Beyond that, they share little theme or even genre. And I like this collection for that.

Artists go through transitional periods, and this little tome captures a broad range of experiments, wrong turns, and happy accidents. I like each story individually, but I won't try to pretend these works hang together cohesively.

I named this collection after one of the shorter short stories, not because it's particularly good, but just because the title is quite attention grabbing and the concept had a lot of promise. I had kept trying to write a vampire story, but my attempts all fell flat. One discarded idea was that a master vampire was living in the Dakota apartments in New York City. Connecting that to Yoko led to the little story presented here.

Within these pages you'll find pulp stories, some sci-fi, outrageous bizarro stories (you've been warned!), and dark little glimpses of literary minimalism. In other words, this collection is a mess, but it's an enjoyable mess if you like variety.
