Musical autobiographies
A series of ten albums created by EMI producer Ciara Nolan in 1998/9 by 10 of her personal heroes.
Each little hard back book contained a CD of music, and in some instances, speech chosen by the artist. The books were written and illustrated by the featured artists and were sold in bookshops as well as record outlets. The releases have ISBN numbers. The CD's although by various artists are only a part of these releases with the book forming the other part.
I think of them as musical autobiographies.
