Buddy Holly And The Picks - BiographyThe Picks was a vocal group that provided backing on a few of Buddy Holly's recordings in the 1950s, particularly those released on the album "The Chirping Crickets". In 1984, they also recorded new vocal overdubs of many other Holly recordings. These overdubs are primarily those that have been released under the name Buddy Holly and the Picks. Opinions on the overdubs vary widely among Holly fans. It is common for European and other releases dating after the start of the "public domaining" of Holly's work outside North America to not identify tracks featuring the Picks' vocals, though tracks credited simply to "Buddy Holly" (as opposed to "Buddy Holly and the Crickets") tend to be the Picks versions. « Back to Discography Edit This Biography : Biography Credits
