Not a 1992 release, as this shows Universal Music's name and logo - DG didn't become part of Universal until 1999, it was still a PolyGram label in 1992. Looking in Discogs, there doesn't appear to have been any prior PolyGram issue, only a Universal Europe issue which had been entered as 1994 (now corrected).
A collection of songs and arias by one of the world's most famous tenors. Includes some of the best known tenor arias, plus popular songs in English and Spanish. Agustín Lara and María Grever are two oustanding Mexican songwriters likely to appeal to the album's Mexican audience. A surprise for an album of tenor favorites is the aria Largo al factotum from Rossini's Il barbiere di Siviglia. This is one the most familiar baritone arias, likely a remnant from Domingo's early days as a baritone who retrained to sing the higher tenor roles for which he is known. (His tenor voice retains some of the extra depth and power of a baritone).
