Along with the sawn notch you get, cut through the side of some CD trays and inlays, they stand as evidence of the cheeky cost cutting exercises of record companies, rather than go to the expense of a bespoke promo label, or the extravagant expense of a "deleted"stamp, they just knock holes in standard issues.
(No wonder the music industry collapsed a few years back... Bunch of penny pinching cheapskates forgot how to do things properly, and called it efficiency, tut tut)
Magic Marmalade: My copy was sent to me as a promo for review purposes, hence the hole punch in barcode. Are those allowed to be used here? I hope so because I have been posting a lot of them.
I have removed barcode and cat number from this, as Carey's images for this original entry of his show it to be a BMG club edition, which I have added in notes, and altered cat number accordingly.
...A new entry has been created for yours arjayvee, with barcode and cat as per your images, and it is linked below (your images moved there).
((Incidentally, your back over image has a hole punched barcode- meaning your copy is either deleted issue, export, or promo purposes)).
