a selection of hoffnung interviews by - well, more with charles richardson - almost conducted by gerard hoffnung - originally broadcast on the beeb's external services, later on the light programme (disc 1) and speeches (disc 2), most famously to the oxford union in december, 1958 (including his rendition of the bricklayer's letter of excuse, which is traceable to before hoffnung was born, but which he made his own - for generations to come).

ppint. ● 22nd Apr 2015		headings of the sub-divisions of the tracks on disc 2 submitted as a correction; they provide the occasion of each speech that is the source of these tracks. should i've credited charles richardson, hoffnung's interviewer on disc 1, as his co-artist on that disc? edit 31/3/2023: the information submitted in the ''correction'' was ignored. hey-ho.
