Notes

Originally released in Japan in April 2009 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Carpenters' signing to A&M Records, the contents were voted for by Japanese fans. The title, 40/40, is a reference to 40 songs for the 40th anniversary. This subsequent release, presented in a stickered blue silver embossed card slipcase, is almost identical to the Japanese release, omitting the "The Best Selection" from the cover, and substituting Touch Me When We're Dancing for Leave Yesterday Behind on Disc Two.

The comments in parenthesis that I have added after the title of most of the tracks are taken from the accompanying booklet, and are included so that the casual observer can see the different versions of the tracks that have been included in this release.
