| | I'd say that the US issue warrants a page of it's own due to the alternate catalogue number and barcode |

| | The USA copy images here from Beggars Road indicate that the USA version should be a separate release as indicated in the comments by PhilMH. In line with Phil I also think a new entry is required. |

| | Simple or sophism?
If International were not an option I would agree with you but as I commented on previously I believe that is precisely why Admin added this Country of Origin category. |

| | From the guide to adding CD's:
"Generally, there is a single page for each CD product/barcode. Please search for the barcode to ensure your CD is not already on 45worlds."
Barcodes are not irrelevant on this site at all. That, plus the fact that the catalogue number is also completely different - BMG15025 as opposed to 1797062 - means that the US copy needs a separate entry. If the US copy had identical cat no and barcode, then it could stay on this entry, but it doesn't, it's that simple. |

| | UPC/barcodes are irrelevant - they are used for selling a product e.g. Record Club issues sans UPC/barcodes.
Quote:"...if the US disc uses same mastering and same packaging (adjusted for US distribution details),..."
I believe this is why Dr. Doom instituted the "International" Country category.
I simply added the USA variant of the same entry. |

| | Even if the US disc uses same mastering and same packaging (adjusted for US distribution details), a completely different catalogue number plus completely different barcode means that it needs a completely separate entry. International is only used if (a) the same pressing with exactly the same catalogue number and barcode details is distributed by the record company's subsidiaries or licensees in different countries, or (b) (and there has been much debate about this) pressings in other countries use the same catalogue number and barcode. The US copy here fails on both of those tests. |

| | @PhilMH: We certainly have a different perspective about CD's, especially when it comes to mastering.
See image 1497919 - mastering info.
IMHO: For all intents and purposes it's the same. |

| | The US issue has a different catalogue number, BMG15025, plus a different barcode, and would also have been issued later than 2009, because BMG didn't acquire Sanctuary/Trojan until 2013, when it was sold by Universal (who issued the UK version of this collection in 2009) as one of the European Commission's conditions for buying most of EMI. So, US pressing needs its own entry. |
