Ha Ha, yes, CD marketing is a world unto itself, with many packaging "gimmicks", you wouldn't think that just adding a slipcover/sticker would make much difference collectability-wise, but it seems that the HMV version is already attracting a premium over the standard issue. Go figure;)



Magic Marmalade 9th May 2022		New entry created, and linked below, with David's slipcase scans moved over. (Reference in notes to HMV slipcase issue). If this standard issue is inside (all details the same, scans of that can be added there, and the cat / barcode can be added as secondary) >This is exactly the kind of thing that makes you want to pull your hair out about CDs and record company practices these days - take a European issue, pop a sticker on it, and hey presto, it's Australian... take the sticker off, and it's European again... Magic! ...Or in this case, take a standard issue, pop it in a new card sleeve, and it's a different product... lose the card sleeve, and it's normal again!<



David Whiteley 9th May 2022		I've now discovered that the standard CD was sold by HMV in their own Exclusive slip case. So does it need it's own entry?



gregs45s SUBS 9th May 2022		That's a different issue i think, Cat.No. is 19439955462 barcode is 194399554623, and so will need it's own separate entry, i'll put in a request to make a new entry in the corrections. (it may contain the CD shown here, but the outer packaging, and the allocation of a new Cat.No. makes it warrant it's own entry)



David Whiteley 8th May 2022		Added images of slip case. Front has a sticker with artists name and title attached to the cellophane wrapping. Bar code on slip case is 194399554621. Everything else is identical to the images already here.
