PhilMH 13th Sep 2014		OK, so presumably a different version to the one released on Checker? Unfortunately the Record Information Services edition of the Hayes/Laughton gospel discography is unhelpful on this point, and I haven't got around to getting the update yet!
cussincarryinon02 13th Sep 2014		Good point, I was asking myself the same question when I first saw these CDs! The answer is provided in the booklet: "Some early live performances [of Aretha singing gospel] were captured on tape in 1956 ... Much later, Stan Lewis came into possession of some more live material from the Franklin's family New Bethel prime (the Reverend released several albums of sermons on Jewel), which came out in 1972 as Only a Look. That's where Aretha's "While The Blood Runs Warm In My Veins" hails from." Reference is here made to Jewel LPS 0059 Only a Look (Rev. C.L. Franklin with Aretha Franklin and The New Bethel Baptist Church Choir, 1972), also re-issued on CD in 1996 as Jewel JCD-3159.
