Recorded at House of Music, West Orange N.J., on an MCI JH-16 2 inch 16 track recorder with dbx noise reduction and an MCI JH-400 console, January 2-February 3, 1975. Mixed to 1/4 inch, matrix quad encoded stereo tape with Dolby A noise reduction at Mediasound, New York NY API Automated Quad (computerized) mixdown facilities, February 11-17, 1975. Remix Engineer: Clearmountain. LP originally mastered at Sterling Sound, New York, NY by Robert Ludwig, February 24, 1975. This album was mixed using the Sansui QS 4-channel quad system.

This album was originally released as Passport PPSD-98009 in 1975, re-issued on clear vinyl as Passport PB-6001 in 1978, and issued on CD in 1986 as Passport PBCD-6001. The 1986 CD remastering was from the original analog mixes, but with LP equalization. This CD reissue is also taken from the original analog mixes, but with additional audio refinements and corrections that current digital technology permits. Though the transfer is the best possible at this time, some evidence of the original analog sources is audible at times. Digital audio preparation by Larry Fast at the Synergy Studio, February, 1995 using Apple Macintosh-based Digidesign Sound Designer II™ with additional processing by C1™, Q10™, and L1™ DSP modules from k.s. Waves Ltd.

The QS quad encoding with decode with varying degrees of success on matrix surround-sound home theater systems.
