Point well understood about Amazon - I only went there after drawing a blank with Schwann catalogues, which ceased publication in early 2001 and didn't have this edition listed, and Amazon allowed me to narrow my search in ICE, which did get its information (and in later years some advertising) from the record companies, though it is still possible to get caught out there if a label decided to push back (or even bring forward) a release date after ICE listed it.
Despite the 1998 copyright date, Amazon US and the May 2001 issue of the ICE Newsletter tell me that this was issued on 15th May 2001, along with GREATEST HITS 1976-1986, LOVE SONGS, REG STRIKES BACK!, and SLEEPING WITH THE PAST. The back insert mention of "A Universal Music Company" supports that, as Universal didn't buy PolyGram (which included Island & Mercury) until late 1998 going into early 1999 (I notice that Discogs has 1998 too, so I'll go and sort them out!).
The 'Rocket Record Company' logo somehow 'bled' thru the front of the CD showing partially on the back of the disc (image 1501455).
Gianni Versace was murdered on 15 July 1997. Approx. around the time the conceptual artwork for this CD was being designed (see page 11 of booklet).
For those who solely rely on 'Discogs' (or someone else's entry) make sure you double check that info with the info on the actual item e.g. "Runaway Train" written by Elton John, Taupin, Ollie Romo according to page nine of the booklet - or not!
There is nothing to indicate on the outside of this package that Eric Clapton is a 'player' therefore, I didn't include him as a 'co-artist' on "Runaway Train".
